I never knew him!
yet …. I can’t get him out of my mind.
I see him young, svelte petite by American standards. his pitch black hair swept back neatly and shining under the suns rays turning them to polished ebony. His crisp white shirt almost transparent in the light , his coat slung over his shoulder as it is still warm in Shanghai.
His mother has just shed some quiet tears he is their only child. They have worked hard to raise him right and he has done them right by excelling in every class he took reaching the top of his research career before turning 25.
He feels honored and grateful. Son of educated but humble parents to have been selected to follow up his original
Research idea at the university of Michigan, little does he know as he smiles and reassures his mother that the University of Michigan would prove to be his nemesis!
Fear and anxiety arising from being hunted coupled with intense loneliness is like an acid where one watches it erode the body and mind and the only release from the pain seems to be out the dorm window onto the cement pavement which is hard and unforgiving to the human flesh and bones.
Such was the fate of this brilliant boy sent with so many ارمان to America to become a world famous researcher.
